Graduation Swag

Image
So I graduated Skidmore College Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Arts in Classics and minors in Art History, Spanish, and Honors Forum. I received departmental honors on my capstone project along with my partner, which you can check out here!  Outside of the classroom, I received the KATHERINE SCRANTON ROZENDAAL, the CANDACE CARLUCCI, and the Student Government Senior Leadership Awards from the college for my leadership and service to Skidmore.  Here I am adorned with lots of exciting things.  - the white stole is for my membership in Skidmore College EMS - the medal is for my role on senior gift (not depicted was another medal for my honors forum minor) - the red cord is for college honors - the purple cord is for departmental honors - the white cord is in recognition of my time in SGA - the green and yellow cord is Senior Cord - the blue and white cord is for being an active member in Jewish Student Life - the purple and orange cord is my membership in eta sigma phi...

The Longest May EVER

Image
Happy Memorial Day and almost end of May! This has been one of the longest may's that I have ever experienced, in part because of the rapidly approaching end to my time at Skidmore and in part some unfortunately timed viruses.  Towards the beginning of May, right in line with the end of classes and beginning of study days, I got pretty sick with what we think was bronchitis. But I got pretty close to losing my voice and was out of commission for a week.  I then recovered enough to participate in senior week, all of the fun activities to celebrate us finishing the end of our college experience. I don't have too many photos from that week, as I was trying much more to be present and enjoy the moments. We attempted to go camping but given a storm warning, we went for the day and did some living room camping, attended fun day (free food, music, games, on the green), last hang outs with friends, and some glamorous photos Then came the day of graduation. In no particular order...

Today was filled with silly little miscommunications that just felt so human and today being the second to last day of class it just feels right. Grateful for genuine laughs and reimbursements

Wow another long stretch but I think you all forgive me when you remembered on the last post I was headed into the city for a couple of days.  21 - Saturday Today was genuinely a good day but it was not the day I set out to have nor was it the day I needed it to be, which was a little unfortunate, but all will be will. Grateful for ice cream and friends with vehicles and first aid knowledge. 22 - Friday Today began to mark the end in a couple of ways, I picked up my cap and gown (AHHH) and I returned my Tang Roommate, as well as it was the last full week of classes. It is weird to know that there are so few days left. Grateful for the respite none the less 23 - Thursday A very exciting day, today was the leadership banquet and I won 3 different awards. By no means are these awards necessary but I am grateful to be recognized for the love, time, and energy that I have poured into this campus and all the organizations.  24 - Wednesday By far one of the longest days of my c...
