 Wow another long stretch but I think you all forgive me when you remembered on the last post I was headed into the city for a couple of days. 


21 - Saturday

Today was genuinely a good day but it was not the day I set out to have nor was it the day I needed it to be, which was a little unfortunate, but all will be will. Grateful for ice cream and friends with vehicles and first aid knowledge.

22 - Friday

Today began to mark the end in a couple of ways, I picked up my cap and gown (AHHH) and I returned my Tang Roommate, as well as it was the last full week of classes. It is weird to know that there are so few days left. Grateful for the respite none the less

23 - Thursday

A very exciting day, today was the leadership banquet and I won 3 different awards. By no means are these awards necessary but I am grateful to be recognized for the love, time, and energy that I have poured into this campus and all the organizations. 





24 - Wednesday

By far one of the longest days of my college career! I went to bed at about 2 am following the bus ride back to campus. I then had a very long day of working on final projects and playing catch up on work that I missed. Grateful for my own bed and being able to wave to Sam!

25 - Tuesday

Today was my long day and the reason for the trip, I attended 2 skidmore events. The first of which was a very fancy lunch at the Lotos Club, in which we celebrated individuals and organizations who have given over a million dollars back to the college! Then I had a couple of hours which ultimately led to me changing in a Starbucks bathroom! Grateful for the opportunities that come from being a student representative. 








26 - Monday

This was my fun day in the city, I spent a few hours in Central Park and then the MET. The last time I was there was on a school trip and so it was nice to wander freely as well as return to some pieces that I had presented on in previous trips! Then grabbed dinner with Sammy and Danny, before heading back and going right to bed!

I lost the game! and other fun traditions

One day last week, or maybe it was the week before, was national wear your camp t-shirt day-of which no one (at school) that I know participated. However there is no need to fret because yours truly-super counselor extraordinaire remembered and wore her staff shirt from last summer. This combined with the Hillel retreat where we sang a lot of the end of session songs and an email encouraging us to apply for summer 2020, reminded me of all the little traditions from camp that I wish took place more in my daily life. For my camp friends reading this I hope it doesn't make you too nostalgic, and for everyone else maybe this a way to bring a little bit of fun to the office or maybe the holidays. The pineapple game When you are out with a group of people the first one to point to the pineapple and say I win. Wins. Yep- that's the whole game. I do highly recommend it for group shopping trips as it brings a sense of adventure to what can be a drab day at the mall. Invisible ...

Less Busy

Yesterday I got up and worked on some papers and then around 11 decided to make up my mind for the day. I had a kind bar and hit the road. I went to the Barbican, Postman's Park, and Postal museum The Barbican is a really unique building because it has plants overall the windows. The Postman's Park is much smaller than many parks that I have been to but that there are some titles that describe heroic events live saving children from a fire. Finally the Postal museum was incredible. I didn't think that I would enjoy it nearly as much as I did. Also at the museum, you can ride the mail rail, which is the old mail cart which would run under the city. Overall I had a great time and I was able to walk most of these so I saw many new parts of the city. Today I leave for Derby today to visit a camp friend. Don't expect any more posts until Sunday Morning. Have a Great Weekend!

Meal Prep and a Movie

This will be brief because I am going to watch a movie with some friends. Today I got up and read in bed for a bit. I then got up and worked out before going foodshopping. I got stuff for the week and also to make Nutella brownies with. They were pretty good, a little gooey but that didn't stop anyone. I then proofread a paper and did more research for AA overall it was a really chill day.
