A day in the life of me!

Today is Penny's birthday! She is currently my favorite 9 year old on the planet. She won't see this for a while because she is on a  . However I too am enjoy the tropics. It is a balmy 43 degrees today! and will hit 46 tomorrow! Thats all for now as it is going to be a chill weekend! Hope your week has been good Me

Hi Folks, So this weekend there was a lot going on because it was winter carnival  as well as my paper on The Odyssey  being due Sunday. Also a bunch of other things have happened so far this week. Friday 3 big things happened I got into the Honors Forum and so did a bunch of my friends  Heidi, my roommate, had her first a cappella jam The valentine's dance happened  And I had a blast at all of them.  Saturday I did a lot of work but not quite enough Sunday I got up finished my paper  and then started all of my other work for the beginning of the week That night we had dinner at Jesse's which was nice. Monday My observation hours were cancelled because of Presidents day so Elizabeth and I did the research-a-thon together which was fun and surprisingly easy. Then I had classes and did a ton of work so I wouldn't have to do any today (Tuesday) Tuesday Today I had class at the tang, which was fun and a nice shift from the class...

Today has been a good day I had some really nice conversations with some people from Hillel last night. They sent me some cookies as a thank you and the notes inside where really cute. Spanish went well. My team lost our debate but by .3 of a point so I am not disappointed. Then I had lunch with some Londoners that I hadn't seen in a while which was nice. After that I went and saw Professor Curley (my classics professor) about my essay and he helped me find  the main idea that I couldn't quite put my finger on. We then just had a nice conversation about how I was a London freshman. He asked if this class was turning me off from classics and I said not at all and he told me that he would be happy to sit down with me in the next few months and plan out the rest of my time to major in classics. Happy Valentine's Day Folks!

So Hillel is hosting a fundraiser to give money to an organization that provides free heart surgery and they needed help. I didn't have anything else to do after class today so I went and helped. I got there at 4 and was immediately set to making sugar cookie dough. Then it needed to rest so I helped write cards and ate pizza (this was around 5:40). We chatted for a bit but then it was time to get back to work I then spent the next 4 hours rolling, cutting, and baking cookies. I was mostly with other people which was nice because you know making friends. But I did really enjoy the hour I was alone because I got a system down and whipped through it.  I then cleaned up a bit with Martina ( she is the jewish life coordinator I think) and we chatted. Finally I helped them write some more cards and I left around 10. The two presidents thanked me so much for staying and helping because I was there the longest out of everyone and I kept telling them it was no problem but it was reall...

So as you know I am part of SGA and with that this past week and days. I have been quite the busy bee. I mostly finished a research project that I was working on, interviewed a Skidmore Alum from 1990. Also I was nominated to serve on the judiciary board. So on that front I am really happy but I am thrown off because Skidmore is going on a low-key shut down because of the storm. All activities after 3:30 were cancelled. And walking to class was starting to feel like this....  Also someone compliment my work ethic so that felt good.... Other than that I am in a book club with a couple other Londoners. It is more of a reading challenge than anything else but we all decided to do it together.  I have also been a reading addict so if you have any recommendations I am currently on book number 10! I think that is all. Classes are going well. I have my first real paper of the semester due on Friday and other than that not much. Now I should say goodbye so I can do some ...

So this week was a really solid week. I was elected into the student government! I am the newest Jonsson Tower Residential Senator and I am very excited to get into the community. I also got an email today that supports the community. Here is one image that support s this... Nothing else really significant has happened this week. I am more settled into the campus and have an almost established routine. Think that is it! Some of us are going to "watch" the super bowl tonight but most of my friend group doesn't care about the result of it.
