353: Junior Spring Finals Season

A couple of you have lovingly reminded me that it has been a while but as you can imagine its been a wild couple of weeks with end of the semester stuff. This upcoming week is finals, I only have one exam and the rest are papers but I am not coming home until I finish them but that should be mid-week.

Since we last chatted a fair amount of things have been going on but of course I will share the highlights with you as a lot of college is the routine which isn't the most thrilling to read about.

I had an impromptu photoshoot at the end of passover. My photographer did an ok job but here is one of the good ones!

I passed my practical EMT exam! So I have one written test to take but then I will be a certified EMT in the state of NY, which is kind of wild. The class has definitely challenged me in many ways but it was also by far one of my most engaging classes. If you ever need your blood pressure taken manually let me know as I am well practiced.

In my last latin class of the year, we all wore fun shirts! I got mine from 5below and then bleached and dyed it for this wonderful result, although I wish it had been slightly more blue.

The Tang Teaching museum hosts a party where you can apply to host a project and Elizabeth and I did one called "Have You Cried in the Bathroom?" I don't have great photos of it but essentially we printed a map of Skidmore and encouraged individuals to interact with it putting stickers where they cried and where they felt joy! I will work on getting a final picture up soon!

What else? hmm? I think those are the big things. This semester has been a wild ride with plenty of highs and lows but I am grateful to have been able to be back here even if it looked different and to have incredible friends.

I hope you are all doing well and that you are taking any and all time that you need to survive and thrive as a human being,
me

  1. Beautiful pictures from the photo shoot. I'm so glad you were able to have this time on campus. Even if it looked a little different from what you hoped.
