Future Planning

 We have reached the point in the semester that I may just hate more than finals and midterms. It is where in addition to regular work, you should be working on your semester long papers and projects as well as figure out what courses you are taking and who you are living with in the fall. I find a lot of that overwhelming so instead here are some fun things that have been going on. 

The dinosaur painting I was working on is now finished! I am taking suggestions for their names




My class officers held a paint and sip event, complete with juice boxes because not everyone in my class year is old enough and because only the senior class is allowed to have alcohol at events. 

Let's see on a less creative side, I celebrated passover on campus. Hillel hosted a seder which was great with a new Haggadah but less great with the company (given covid rules you have to stay at your assigned table and I didn't really like anyone at my table). However since I am in the apartment I was able to make some delicious Matzah Toffee/Crack (I learned the hardware that very few people actually call it Matzah crack but that is what we call it at home so 🤷‍♀️)



 
Passover ended with a carb-olicious dinner which we had a little photoshoot after but with my squinty smile and a mask you can't really see my face 



Let's see beyond that no much is going on, lot of work but I am still enjoying my classes and they challenge me in ways I don't expect them to.

I lost the game! and other fun traditions

One day last week, or maybe it was the week before, was national wear your camp t-shirt day-of which no one (at school) that I know participated. However there is no need to fret because yours truly-super counselor extraordinaire remembered and wore her staff shirt from last summer. This combined with the Hillel retreat where we sang a lot of the end of session songs and an email encouraging us to apply for summer 2020, reminded me of all the little traditions from camp that I wish took place more in my daily life. For my camp friends reading this I hope it doesn't make you too nostalgic, and for everyone else maybe this a way to bring a little bit of fun to the office or maybe the holidays. The pineapple game When you are out with a group of people the first one to point to the pineapple and say I win. Wins. Yep- that's the whole game. I do highly recommend it for group shopping trips as it brings a sense of adventure to what can be a drab day at the mall. Invisible ...

Less Busy

Yesterday I got up and worked on some papers and then around 11 decided to make up my mind for the day. I had a kind bar and hit the road. I went to the Barbican, Postman's Park, and Postal museum The Barbican is a really unique building because it has plants overall the windows. The Postman's Park is much smaller than many parks that I have been to but that there are some titles that describe heroic events live saving children from a fire. Finally the Postal museum was incredible. I didn't think that I would enjoy it nearly as much as I did. Also at the museum, you can ride the mail rail, which is the old mail cart which would run under the city. Overall I had a great time and I was able to walk most of these so I saw many new parts of the city. Today I leave for Derby today to visit a camp friend. Don't expect any more posts until Sunday Morning. Have a Great Weekend!

Meal Prep and a Movie

This will be brief because I am going to watch a movie with some friends. Today I got up and read in bed for a bit. I then got up and worked out before going foodshopping. I got stuff for the week and also to make Nutella brownies with. They were pretty good, a little gooey but that didn't stop anyone. I then proofread a paper and did more research for AA overall it was a really chill day.
