Landmarks

 Firstly, I am back home!

Secondly, by my estimate I have traveled between home and Skidmore roughly 17 times, between touring and then traveling during the semester, and I have come to find consistent landmarks. Although none of them are super exciting I figured I would share with you all.

  • Signs for UMass Amherst
  • Charlton Plaza, its a rest stop that has a historic house in the middle of it, which just feels really out of place.
  • There is a sign on I-90 that shares that you are at the highest point of elevation east of one of the Dakotas, I think, every time I pass it I think I should take a picture but then I don't
  • A gas station right off the highway (coming back this means you are less than 5 minutes from crossing into MA)
  • Love's rest stop. It is the first rest stop crossing into NY, I have never stopped there but it has a nice yellow sign.
  • the chaos of ramps where I believe 87 meets 90

If you are traveling home, I hope you make it there safely and if you are already home, stay cozy and of course safe!

Best wishes for a peaceful Sunday,
Olivia
