Things you can't do in classes anymore and Happy New Year!

 Hi! My apologies for the delay in getting another post up @Madison. School is going well and I am in a fairly consistent routine, which after a month is very nice to have.  Since coming back to school there are some things I have noticed about classes during a pandemic. None of them are shocking revelations but figured I would share as some are comical.  During in person classes you can ...   Not casually take a sip of water (you have to leave the classroom to have a drink)  Not run your pen/pencil over your lips/chew on it (it was actually really funny to watch someone put there pen against the mask and try to chew on it, without realizing) Apologize for asking someone to repeat themselves more than three times because masks are hard to hear with. Be an active listener More easily ask for clarification Wipe down your desk upon arrival and upon leaving and apply sanitizer each time During zoom classes you can ...  Not turn off your camera without being ask...

A little cottage in the woods

This week flew by and I think I have a good routine with classes, cooking and attempting to have a social life.  People have been really great so far with wearing masks and checking in with others comfort level before sitting too close or removing their masks for which I am grateful.  Yesterday, I went to my housemates cottage a couple of hours from here. (Lizzie-I hope I do this description justice and thank you so much for inviting us!) It is one of the cutest places I have ever been and the view of the lake was stunning. One of my favorite parts was how much the family is engrained in the building itself from the photos to the height markings by the kitchen! It was a great day trip with a nice walk and swim (although it was a bit chilly).  I will work on getting more photos up but that is not urgent.
