So many deleted drafts

Since my last post-I have most definitely fallen off the bandwagon, but not entirely. As I sat down to write this post, I realized that I had started writing it so so many times. Many of these drafts started with an apology that I hadn't been writing then a brief run down of what has been going on in my life and as I skimmed them, they all felt so surface level with not a lot of description. I can't promise that this post will be any better but you will have to read on to see.

This summer has been a mixed bag of emotions with some wonderful highs and some low lows but one that has come with its own surprises and opportunities. So although it may not have been the summer I wanted it was one with some fun memories.

Instead of viewing my summer as a series of losses-I tried(and mostly succeeded) to find alternates for what I would have been doing. For instance instead of doing target runs and movie dates with friends, we had socially distanced campfires, ate bagels on benches, and enjoyed snacky sunsets.
Instead of camp, I helped run the CIT programs with Girl Scouts and am one of their social media interns- so go follow @campfavorite on instagram!

Of course there are things missing from these alternates, like hugs and dirt tans, but something is better than nothing and I like the life I made this summer.

Day to day not much is different but there is power in having a routine no matter how loose it may seem

7:30 Wake up and groan that its too early
8 get out of bed and work out
9:30 have breakfast and shower
10:20-1:40 free time
2-3 Virtual CIT
3 grading for CITs
4 free time
6 Dinner
7-? free time and bed

With that sad looking account of my day to day, I leave you to have a wonderful and peaceful weekend. I do plan on blogging more regularly once the semester begins but you will have to be patient because that is a whole week away.
Best wishes
Me
