I went searching for Dali and came back with chips

Good Morning Everyone!

Before we get too far, I hope that whatever this title made you think of was entertaining!
But its story time, here we go...

I, your favorite blogger, and I have been up since 4:42 am

Skidmore’s museum, the tang, started a new program this semester where you can rent art for the semester. So naturally I leaped at the opportunity to have a Picasso or Matisse in my room.

When I went to tour the collection I fell in love with a Don Quixote by Salvador Dalí and a couple of other pieces caught my eye.

A couple of days later it was Sunday morning. I woke up at was is considered college crack of dawn and slipped and slid my way over to the Tang teaching museum . I arrived to the laughs of other students sitting in a line outside the locked door. We all waited anxiously for  6am to come and be able to move inside and 40 minutes later we were invited in and given numbers. I was number 19. The next 3 hours were marked by my essay gaining length and the occasional snore of someone sleeping in the classroom.

What felt like an eternity later, 9 am rolled around. The procedure was explained and as I waited for my group to be called in, a reporter from SkidNews interviewed me and some people I was sitting with.

Shortly after that my group was called to wash our hands and go into the gallery. Once we were in we could take our chosen piece right off the wall.

The Dalí was gone but one piece in my top ten was there. I officially introduce to my new roommate- Untitled Chip Bag (Rainbow)

They wrapped it up nice for me and then I walked back to my room.

Unpacked it and hung it up on my wall

Then I went to brunch with a couple of friends and went about my day.

I hope your weekend was just as exciting as mine! and have an incredible week,
me
