SC 201: Introduction to Sophomore Year

So I have now officially been to every one of my classes at least once and I have some work ahead of me as you can see in this fun colored schedule courtesy of the internet
For those of you that don't know I am a peer mentor; this involves going to the Scribner seminar with freshman and a weekly training course on Fridays. The seminar I am helping with is sponsored by the classics department and it is about ancient mythology and how it appears in today's society(in marvel movies) and the significance of that. So far it has been a fun experience however a lot of time as I worked the whole new student orientation. My kids seem like a good group overall but I can definitely where there will be some unwanted tension-but that's life.

My other classes include a 300 level latin class where we are translating the Satyricon, an ancient novel about a dinner party, a 200 level philosophy course about Logic, a 100 level introduction to Political Science and finally a 200 level Spanish class.

Overall I am excited about the classes but am a little overwhelmed. I have not quite gotten into a routine yet but I'm positive that it will all fall into place.

That's all for now but I plan on doing more blog posts like this one to catch you all up on how my fall semester is going during this month!
I hope you all have a great start of school or September

  1. I always had trouble getting up for an 8 AM class. Looks like you have two, and both two-hour classes. Good Luck. Bring coffee.

That's also a very full schedule. More impressive with the mentoring activities.

    Have a great year.
