Lies that I've told campers

As I get to the last couple of days of camp and have some time to reflect, the most entertaining to me and probably you is the lies that I've told campers. So this blog post will be about all the lies that I've said and gotten away with and some that campers caught me in the lie for.

My pretty common lies
I have lied about taking time off by calling it paperwork
I have lied about the swim schedule and knowing what's for meals

My wild lies

The following lie, I have told over three times with varying success.
A lot of groups have requested to go sky diving and so I told them the following. Hey girls so I found this really sketchy site that says it will take you skydiving but it is a bring your own parachute situation. Luckily I found these in the closet! So I need you to get into two teams with one person as the bag-carrier. Then we walk as a group to the flag circle and I have the counselor stand in front of the nurse's window and then she calls me on the walkie and makes up a reason for the skydiving to be cancelled.

Common questions associated with this activity include...
Q: how is this gonna work?
A: a helicopter is going to land into the flag circle then take us up and then we jump
Q: are you serious?
A: Yes

This activity then turns into parachute games except one time the campers made me pinkie promise that if I was lying they could draw on me. In that one occasion I was straight up caught in the lie and so then after I allowed the girl to write I am a liar on my forehead and other things.

The last set of lies were in the forms of bedtime stories so do they really count?

More to come but for now enjoy the lies
I'll see you all soon
