A quick life update

Sorry that it has been almost a month since my last post. You probably wouldn't believe it but I had a whole post written and ready for posting but never got back online to hit publish-so whoops

But instead of sulking let me tell you what has been going on for me in the last month.

Since being home I have .... 

 -Re connected with friends who  have missed! We went out to brunch one day and I have gone to the mall with a couple of them earlier and I will be going again next week. It was nice to really have just free time to talk as I hadn't seen most of them since December.

 -Helped backstage at my high school's production of the drowsy chaperone. They did a fantastic job as always and my kids have grown so much since I have seen them.

-
-I watched all of the MCU movies in order to best prepare myself for the class that I am peer mentoring in the fall, including endgame which left me like


- Finally I got a tattoo today and I am sure you will all be pleased that it wasn't like this. I actually had a really positive experience.The guy Scott checked in with me regularly and the whole process took around 15-20 minutes. ( more on the tattoo in another post tomorrow)

I lost the game! and other fun traditions

One day last week, or maybe it was the week before, was national wear your camp t-shirt day-of which no one (at school) that I know participated. However there is no need to fret because yours truly-super counselor extraordinaire remembered and wore her staff shirt from last summer. This combined with the Hillel retreat where we sang a lot of the end of session songs and an email encouraging us to apply for summer 2020, reminded me of all the little traditions from camp that I wish took place more in my daily life. For my camp friends reading this I hope it doesn't make you too nostalgic, and for everyone else maybe this a way to bring a little bit of fun to the office or maybe the holidays. The pineapple game When you are out with a group of people the first one to point to the pineapple and say I win. Wins. Yep- that's the whole game. I do highly recommend it for group shopping trips as it brings a sense of adventure to what can be a drab day at the mall. Invisible ...

Less Busy

Yesterday I got up and worked on some papers and then around 11 decided to make up my mind for the day. I had a kind bar and hit the road. I went to the Barbican, Postman's Park, and Postal museum The Barbican is a really unique building because it has plants overall the windows. The Postman's Park is much smaller than many parks that I have been to but that there are some titles that describe heroic events live saving children from a fire. Finally the Postal museum was incredible. I didn't think that I would enjoy it nearly as much as I did. Also at the museum, you can ride the mail rail, which is the old mail cart which would run under the city. Overall I had a great time and I was able to walk most of these so I saw many new parts of the city. Today I leave for Derby today to visit a camp friend. Meal Prep and a Movie

This will be brief because I am going to watch a movie with some friends. Today I got up and read in bed for a bit. I then got up and worked out before going foodshopping. I got stuff for the week and also to make Nutella brownies with. They were pretty good, a little gooey but that didn't stop anyone. I then proofread a paper and did more research for AA overall it was a really chill day.
