ending

So one thing that I never thought about is the end of the year. In high school, you took your finals and kind of just ended. There was no planning leadership for the following year or figuring out our schedule because it would just come out in the summer. College is a whole different game. In the next 3 weeks, I will register for my courses, pick my housing, know whether or not I was elected to the position I want. I am not the only one in this position and this planning kind of gives the school a frenetic energy. However this is being abated by the fact that the green is greenish(there is no snow! on most of it) and that the weather is getting significantly nicer. The school feels like it has significantly more students as people have stopped hibernating. I think that is all for now me

Balls in the air

So the unfortunate part of this semester is right now, we have to plan out our next semester/year.          For instance within the next couple of weeks I will register for classes, pick housing, decided which clubs to join the leadership teams of, and I will learn if I got the peer mentor position. Despite the chaos. I have found the calm in the center of the storm. This calm comes from a variety of places. Firstly the master schedule came out so I now have the option to work on my schedule. Second came in an exciting email! I got the Peer Mentor Position that I wanted!!! I am very excited for the opportunity to help mentor the next wave of freshman. I think that is all. The seasons change and therefore it is time for me to get my cold. So good night sleep well everybody me

24 hours back

Breaks in high school always flew by and so did this one. Woah those hours really flew by but I guess that I was sleeping for a good amount of them. Since being a back I have knitted, written 95% of a paper, done more work on a project, came up with an idea for my classics paper, and got locked out of my room. All of these sound great-wow Olivia you were so productive! Wait what about being locked out. Well, I went to go fill my kettle and the window pulled the door shut. So I went down to campus security and a guy walked me back up to my room and let me in. It is really weird how empty campus has been but I guess I shouldn't be that surprised given it is the last Sunday of break! That is all for now, Have a great week Me

To-do Tuesday

Today, I met Nicole at Starbucks and crossed most of my homework off of the to do list! Then I went to Joann fabrics to buy some interfacing for a bag I am working on! (Shahn would be so proud but in real life I just bought hot pink felt that I am quilting to give my bag structure) Finally the only other big thing that happened today was that I got my hair cut and for the first time in her life I think it is shorter than Penny's hair. I will post some pictures tomorrow but since I am writing might as well share now! So happy Tuesday and have a great rest of your week!

24 hours in

As of Friday at 2:15pm, I finished all of my midterms. I then had a random 2 wish hours before I got into a friend's car and headed back to Mass. I got home around 8:15 ish- I bet Jonathan has a more accurate. This morning I slept in a little and then played with penny for a bit. Then I ran some errands and read a little before taking Penny to Fun world, where in the course of 2.5 hours we earned over 1000 tickets and came back with a whole lot of prizes. We returned home to watch the newest edition of the grinch which very much confused my brain about which break I was on. Tomorrow will be a relatively chill day and I am expecting to be off a little because of day lights saving. I hope everyone has a nice weekend! me

Wait what

I woke up this morning and totally forgot that it is not February any more. so sorry for not posting one more time in February as I meant to. Not much has happened since I last wrote. I am in a big wave of work right now because it is midterm season here. This is crazy to me. In 8 ish weeks I will be a sophomore- holy guacamole! I have one more week here and then I come home for  spring break. This past week has been busy-ish. I almost always have something to do but I also have time for myself. I am also trying to avoid the sicknesses that are spreading around campus. Today my morning class was cancelled, so I chose to be very productive and I finished a lot of works in progress that I had. Sorry this is really lame. I'm just not sure that I have anything else to share right now. wait there is something interesting happening. So at Skidmore we have peer mentors who help out with the first year seminars. I can apply to be a London Peer mentor (every current student wh...
