No Orientation

SO because of the snowstorm almost all of my orientation activities were cancelled, but that didn't stop us from having fun!

After breakfast I went on a low-key tour but all of the buildings were locked so it was really just a nice walk.

Then I hung out in Dhall with a bunch of other London freshman before going back to my room for a bit. Then after I did a little organizing, I went out and joined the snowball fight. It was fun and I didn't even get hit too badly.

After that Kayleigh and I hung out with Jesse and did another low key tour. Then we talked about clubs and classes and I think that I am going to join the student government association but I'm not sure yet.

Then we had another big dinner where we met a bunch of former Londoners which was really cool to see the relationships years later.

I think that is all that happened... wait I also learned how to access my mailbox so winning!

One day last week, or maybe it was the week before, was national wear your camp t-shirt day-of which no one (at school) that I know participated. However there is no need to fret because yours truly-super counselor extraordinaire remembered and wore her staff shirt from last summer. This combined with the Hillel retreat where we sang a lot of the end of session songs and an email encouraging us to apply for summer 2020, reminded me of all the little traditions from camp that I wish took place more in my daily life. For my camp friends reading this I hope it doesn't make you too nostalgic, and for everyone else maybe this a way to bring a little bit of fun to the office or maybe the holidays. The pineapple game When you are out with a group of people the first one to point to the pineapple and say I win. Wins. Yep- that's the whole game. I do highly recommend it for group shopping trips as it brings a sense of adventure to what can be a drab day at the mall. Invisible ...

Less Busy

Yesterday I got up and worked on some papers and then around 11 decided to make up my mind for the day. I had a kind bar and hit the road. I went to the Barbican, Postman's Park, and Postal museum The Barbican is a really unique building because it has plants overall the windows. The Postman's Park is much smaller than many parks that I have been to but that there are some titles that describe heroic events live saving children from a fire. Finally the Postal museum was incredible. I didn't think that I would enjoy it nearly as much as I did. Also at the museum, you can ride the mail rail, which is the old mail cart which would run under the city. Overall I had a great time and I was able to walk most of these so I saw many new parts of the city. Today I leave for Derby today to visit a camp friend. Don't expect any more posts until Sunday Morning. Have a Great Weekend!

Meal Prep and a Movie

This will be brief because I am going to watch a movie with some friends. Today I got up and read in bed for a bit. I then got up and worked out before going foodshopping. I got stuff for the week and also to make Nutella brownies with. They were pretty good, a little gooey but that didn't stop anyone. I then proofread a paper and did more research for AA overall it was a really chill day.
