A really good day

Dear Olivia,

Today has been a really good day and here is why. Today you had your first day of classes and really crushed it.


  • Today I got up and did some yoga during sunrise because I couldn't find the treadmill in my building.
  • Then I showered and packed my bag. 
  • I had breakfast with some of my friends and then headed out to Spanish. 
  • I arrived 10 minutes early and sat with this girl named Georgia and we are going to do some of our course work together this semester. #making friends. Also I think this is the right level for me which is good!
  • then I had lunch with my peer mentor and some other Londoners. 
  • After that I headed to Case to pick up one of my books and do my Spanish homework
  • Next I headed to my English class which was an experience. We don't/won't have a syllabus for the class because the class goal is to make all of us competent and comfortable writers with distinct voices. We had to do another diagnostic today which was annoying. 
  • Then I went to see BB in her office hours to say hi. 
  • Now I am FaceTiming Nicole and then will work on a paper before math review. 

I think that is all for now. I am excited to see what's in store for tomorrow.

I lost the game! and other fun traditions

One day last week, or maybe it was the week before, was national wear your camp t-shirt day-of which no one (at school) that I know participated. However there is no need to fret because yours truly-super counselor extraordinaire remembered and wore her staff shirt from last summer. This combined with the Hillel retreat where we sang a lot of the end of session songs and an email encouraging us to apply for summer 2020, reminded me of all the little traditions from camp that I wish took place more in my daily life. For my camp friends reading this I hope it doesn't make you too nostalgic, and for everyone else maybe this a way to bring a little bit of fun to the office or maybe the holidays. The pineapple game When you are out with a group of people the first one to point to the pineapple and say I win. Wins. Yep- that's the whole game. I do highly recommend it for group shopping trips as it brings a sense of adventure to what can be a drab day at the mall. Invisible ...

Less Busy

Yesterday I got up and worked on some papers and then around 11 decided to make up my mind for the day. I had a kind bar and hit the road. I went to the Barbican, Postman's Park, and Postal museum The Barbican is a really unique building because it has plants overall the windows. The Postman's Park is much smaller than many parks that I have been to but that there are some titles that describe heroic events live saving children from a fire. Finally the Postal museum was incredible. I didn't think that I would enjoy it nearly as much as I did. Also at the museum, you can ride the mail rail, which is the old mail cart which would run under the city. Overall I had a great time and I was able to walk most of these so I saw many new parts of the city. Today I leave for Derby today to visit a camp friend. Don't expect any more posts until Sunday Morning. Have a Great Weekend!

Meal Prep and a Movie

This will be brief because I am going to watch a movie with some friends. Today I got up and read in bed for a bit. I then got up and worked out before going foodshopping. I got stuff for the week and also to make Nutella brownies with. They were pretty good, a little gooey but that didn't stop anyone. I then proofread a paper and did more research for AA overall it was a really chill day.
