Half Lazy, Have Busy

So This morning I accidentally got up quite early, so naturally I watched the The Breakfast Club in bed. I then ate and did some work and laundry. Then around 12 I decided it was time to be done sitting in my room.
So I consulted the Time Out 50 and my own internal list.

Here is a map of everywhere I went and now the details

  1. Liberty
    1. This is in the top 50 but also somewhere I love. 
    2. It is a department store that is full of a variety of things from haberdashery to fabrics to furniture. It is quite expensive so I didn't buy anything today but who know someday. 
  2. A small vintage store 
    1. I didn't get its name but it felt so costume-y. I had a blast looking about but everything was very overpriced so I may go back but if not there are many more shops.
  3. Photographer's Gallery

    2. This was a neat museum. The pictures told such a story of travel and technology. 
  4. The French House 
    1. Top 50
    2. I didn't make it in because they were closed but there is so much history in that space
  5. Science Museum 
    1. Top 50 
    2. This was not my favorite but it was cool to see the steam engines so close up and they had a really neat space section. Overall it was not super interactive though. 
  6. Natural History Museum 
    1. Top 50 
    2. I liked this one much more. it was interactive and there was a lot that I could touch, which was appreciated. They had a great exhibit on earth's movements and issues. 
  7. Victoria and Albert Museum 
    1. Top 50 
    2. So I thought this one I had been to before but that was not the case at all. This place is huge so I only spent an hour wandering about. 
      1. I saw fashion History which I loved so much all of the pieces were stunning. 
      2. I also saw snuff boxes which had so much history. They became more popular than cigarettes because one could simply in hale rather than smoke. 
  8. Harrods 
    1. I game in and wandered about especially to the toy section. they had ALL of the JELLYCATS. I am waiting to see how much money I have left over at the end before I spend it on stuffs. 
  9. Sommerset House 
    1. Top 50 
    2. The architecture was stunning. I got there right before close so I didn't have much time to explore as much as I wanted.

I lost the game! and other fun traditions

One day last week, or maybe it was the week before, was national wear your camp t-shirt day-of which no one (at school) that I know participated. However there is no need to fret because yours truly-super counselor extraordinaire remembered and wore her staff shirt from last summer. This combined with the Hillel retreat where we sang a lot of the end of session songs and an email encouraging us to apply for summer 2020, reminded me of all the little traditions from camp that I wish took place more in my daily life. For my camp friends reading this I hope it doesn't make you too nostalgic, and for everyone else maybe this a way to bring a little bit of fun to the office or maybe the holidays. The pineapple game When you are out with a group of people the first one to point to the pineapple and say I win. Wins. Yep- that's the whole game. I do highly recommend it for group shopping trips as it brings a sense of adventure to what can be a drab day at the mall. Invisible ...

Less Busy

Yesterday I got up and worked on some papers and then around 11 decided to make up my mind for the day. I had a kind bar and hit the road. I went to the Barbican, Postman's Park, and Postal museum The Barbican is a really unique building because it has plants overall the windows. The Postman's Park is much smaller than many parks that I have been to but that there are some titles that describe heroic events live saving children from a fire. Finally the Postal museum was incredible. I didn't think that I would enjoy it nearly as much as I did. Also at the museum, you can ride the mail rail, which is the old mail cart which would run under the city. Overall I had a great time and I was able to walk most of these so I saw many new parts of the city. Today I leave for Derby today to visit a camp friend. Don't expect any more posts until Sunday Morning. Have a Great Weekend!

Meal Prep and a Movie

This will be brief because I am going to watch a movie with some friends. Today I got up and read in bed for a bit. I then got up and worked out before going foodshopping. I got stuff for the week and also to make Nutella brownies with. They were pretty good, a little gooey but that didn't stop anyone. I then proofread a paper and did more research for AA overall it was a really chill day.
