Florence day 1
Florence Day One, 10/14/18
So today I was in Florence and I met up with a squad of Skiddos (Libby, Jay, Maya, Cali, Kayleigh, and Eddie). It was nice to be with people I know but I did appreciate having some time to myself in the city before meeting up with them. Today in Numbers: crossed Ponte Vecchio 8 times, took 24,877 steps and slept almost 10 hours. Pretty good overall! Traveling with this group is a different feel wedidn’t do nearly as much as I did in Rome but I definitely enjoyed it. I decided to kind of live in every moment of today so I didn’t take a lot of pictures. This morning I got up and had breakfast and wanted to go on a walk before meeting the group. This morning I stumbled upon what I can only describe as a Boy Scout battle of the bands(I am pretty sire that they are in the same organizations but one would play and then the other. Then they ran down the road while playing their instruments.
The reason I crossed the bridge so many times is because I went to the wrong way when trying to meet up with the group so I had to cross it twice then. We did not “do” a lot in terms of museums or shopping but we saw so much of the city. We just kind of walked everywhere. We saw Duomo, Outside of Uffizi, Market Centrale, San Lorenzo outdoor leather market, Leonardo Davinci Museum, and a castle maybe?
Quick note on the Davinci Museum it was so cool they had many of his inventions or recreations of them and we even got to touch them.
After that Kayleigh and I walked back and got something to eat. I got some pizza and she got a smoothie bowl from a vegan shop. We then sat and talked which was really nice because we were locked out of their AirBnB.
I then sat with her , Libby, and Jay before calling it a night and coming back here to shower and write this. Going to bed soon.
