Maxing out the Oyster

Today I went to Highgate cemetery with my seminar. It was a good trip but the tour was significantly longer than any of us were in the mood for. These are some photos I took at the Cemetery. The second photo features Mark and the Egyptian vault.

This graves around this tree were designed around the tree because the architect didn't want to move it.

This grave is the home of two lesbians which is interesting because it was very against the culture of the time of their deaths. I may be writing about this for an English assignment so keep your eyes open.

After the Field Trip, Heidi and I popped over to Camden Market and had a look around. While I was there I bought these 2 cow keychains. I think they are super cute and they match! One is going to be for me and the other for Penny.

After Camden, Heidi and I went to Primrose Hill, which is part of Regent's Park. The view was incredible and it was so peaceful and serene. The pano was me trying to get the full view but the only way to really do that is for you to all climb to the top.

Then Heidi and I went our separate ways as I went on my great quest to travel all around for free!I am going to try to put the rest in as close to chronological as I can but no promises.
  1. Welcome to Times Square in LondonI went to Leicester square to see the lego and M&M stores.

  2. Covent Garden, I went into some of our favorites like Sass and Belle and the Moomin Shop. I didn't really have lunch today so I stopped and got a crepe.
  3. Trafalgar Square and the National Portrait Gallery. I went and saw the national portrait competition and the feminism trail. It was really cool and I am looking forward to going again with class. I also tried to find the orange lion but I failed dramatically. I ended up being a postcard version of the second portrait

  4. The Millennium Bridge. SO I learned that on the bridge people have been painting little decorations. I thought this was so cool and I kind of want to do one but I have no idea how or what I would do.

  5. The Globe. Despite just being at the globe, I went back to look at the gift shop. Nothing really struck me so I left again.
  6. I wandered to Borough and Green Markets while trying to find a tube entrance. So I gave up and wandered on to a bus.
  7. ON the bus I sat on the top just to admire the view. I got off after two stops and went to...
  8. Leadenhall market. Most of it was closed so I just wandered through it.
  9. I then found a different tube and started to head back to kings cross.
  10. Turns out I got on the wrong train, so I got off and got on a different train.
  11. Then took the bus from Kings cross to the apartment because why not.
This all took about 5 hours but I loved every minute and would do it again.

But not tonight because now I need to go to sleep
