An American in Parliament

This morning I got up and felt the symptoms of a cold coming on ;(- but that didn't stop my day. I got up and I walked to the Winston Churchill Statue with Katie. It took us about an hour but we still got there 20 minutes before everyone else. Next to the statue was an inflatable of the Mayor wearing a gold bikini.

What is interesting is that this ballon was a response to the mayors feud with Trump. So a lot of people there were Trump Supporters.

After this we went into the houses of Parliament. I had never been inside before so this was very interesting. The House of Lords is very ornately decorated in Reds and Gold, because red and purple were the 2 most expensive colors of the day. Whereas the House of Commons is decorated in all green and is not ornate.  I also learned that in the Queen's robing room there is a hidden bathroom and   her husband's room is always stocked with some sherry and cakes. I highly recommend touring if you can because you get to be "in the room where it happens. "

After the tour, I got lunch with some friends and we sat in a park before walking back. I then did laundry, where I accidentally turned our sheets blue-whoops! I hung out in some of the kitchens then made dinner and here I am now.
