Second Day of Classes

Good Evening

So I need to explain an assignment in order to explain my day. For my seminar we have random flash writing assignments and these are graded for completion but returned with insight on our writing. I got the assignment Tuesday and it is due tomorrow. It is a one page paper on a piece of art or collection of art from the Museum of London. So this morning, I woke up and went to the museum before class. The museum is incredible! it is essentially a timeline of all of British History from the Romans to Today. I only made it to the end of the Medieval Era, which in my opinion is sad and I am going to try to go again when I have more time. However the piece below is the one that I wrote about. It is a brooch from the medieval era. I may share the paper later but I may not... who knows? :)
After the museum I had...
Ethnic Tapestry
This class meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:20-1:20.
Today we went over expectations and then went over the big themes of this course. It reminds me a lot of Facing History with Mama Have last year and I am so pumped to see the material through a different lens.

Next I had lunch and printed a boat load of readings. Unfortunately there is no printer here at Chapter so everything has to be printed at IES

Next I had
British art and architecture (aka Art History)
This class meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:40-4:40
I always though I would like Art History but I didn't realize how much I would love it. Today we barely did an overview of some art and artistic movements but I already knew so much and Lucinda said we were her first class that ever knew so much without taking an art history course- YAY US!!

I cam home with Katie, then did a bit of home work, worked out, and made dinner.

Study Breaks
These are run by our peer advisor Jess, who is amazing. Today was our first real one but they will run every Wednesday for around an hour. Today we had a tea party and talked about community.

Thats all for now, but before bed I have 2 more things to share.
  1. Today Morgan (the dude) and I got paired together for the same activity twice. It was really funny because we both already knew what to say. oddly enough we can both wiggle our ears.
  2. There will be NO post tomorrow because I am seeing a show and will not have time.
