First Day of Classes!!!!!

Today was my first day of classes and it has been one of the longest days that I've experienced in a while, but overall it was a really good day.
Before class, Heidi and I went for a walk along the canal and it was stunning!

Imagined London
This class runs from 11:20-1:20 every Tuesday and Thursday. This class is also my Scribner Seminar so the teacher is a Skidmore Faculty. Today we went over the syllabus and finished discussing or summer reading, Exit West. We then generally discussed why we all came to London and what we were hoping to find while here.

I then left and wandered the Main Street then a small squad of us went and ate in a park nearby.

Theater
This class also runs on the Tuesday-Thursday Schedule but from 2:50-4:50.  This was actually quite interesting but the teacher's voice is a little monotone and he is the most British man I may every meet.  I just finished an article for the class about theatre criticism and there is a lot more to the reviews than I thought.

Next we walked back to the IES center  and had our next class

Understanding Britain
This class only meets Tuesday but it is from 5:15-7:15 and it will end in October. Today's class was really interesting but all over the place. For example, we were talking about British Comedy and then awkwardly transitioned very briefly to World War One. The only downside to this class time is that we don't get back till quite late.

I have my next to classes tomorrow so I will share more then.
