A day in the life of me!

I am so excited to be working with the Artists! It has been a little strange to be in kitchen all day to day but I still love it. Chipmonkey and I went shopping during kitchen T.O. which was great but I spent way too much money ;(. More to come once we have actually do art

So Yesterday was a hot mess. We cleaned every unit multiple times all because of the 60th. To be honest I didn't really mind but since we cleaned everything over and over again, we did not get our unit assignments until a little after 5pm and we had to be moved out by 6pm. Again this wasn't bad for me because I only had to move tents but a lot of people were grumpy about their assignment and location-so I do feel bad. I also spent all day in the kitchen. So on Friday I learned that I am with the Junior Samplers with Blue. A lot has gone wrong and we are only 24 hours in; however, these kids leave on Tuesday evening. Juniors A- 9 campers in 2 tents (one of 5 and the other of 4) Juniors B- 4 campers in 1 tent! The things that have gone wrong so far... a list Not enough tents in Sleepy Hollow We were told we need an epi-pen but we don't We were both scheduled for kitchen on Friday quick update on that they never told my kitchen buddy that she was in kitchen One girl spontaneously breaks into hives for no reason I had to walki Goosey about it Junior Samplers Round 2 So on Wednesday we got 4 new juniors to have for the rest of the week. Everything is going grand we got their names down to a T(i). Then we are walking back up from lunch and one of our girls has peed herself. So,  I am failing in the blogging world. Last week was my last week of day camp for at least a week. Highlights- So During the overnight, there was this kid and she pranced around like a deer. So we had to stay up in shifts to watch for her. So I went to bed around 12 and then got up at 4 and was awake until 9 pm. I then went to bed and enjoyed the sweet sweet time off.

So it has been 10 days since my last post which means I have failed in my goal of posting every other day. However, I am not heart broken because this is my growth curve. So much has happened since the 4th so let me try to catch you up as best as I can. After the 4th, we were still in session 2 of both res and day camp and I was still with Fun without Sun. I had an amazing rest of the week with my girls and a highlight was definitely going to the national seashore after final campfire. Kale did so much research and was able to share so many cool facts about space whereas I was able to share the mythology behind them. The next day was Friday and after getting soaked during road, I came into the staff house to drop off a walki and was promptly told without prompting that I was going to be with day camp for the next 2 weeks. Good Morning, Happy Independence Day! Today the American Flag was raised and the Internationals toolkit down and replaced it with the Union Jack. Then at lunch proceeded to sing "God Save Our Queen" ...  it was beautiful. I currently have 1 hour left of time off before I arrive at the beach party hydration extravaganza! I will be on the beach from 3-10 or later which in my opinion is too dang long. However I did convince my children not to sleep on the beach! GO ME! I am off to watch a bit of Coco with Bot. Quick update before I talk about the title. This week I am doing Fun without Sun with Scooby. We have 13 campers because one didn't show (sad face) and we are living in Sleepy Hollow with the Junior Samplers who leave tomorrow. Today I was in the Kitchen. This means I helped serve meals and clean up after them. After my full day in Kitchen, I only have 3 Regrets, which given it was my first experience I say is pretty good! Dropping all of the freshly washed spoons on the ground and having to start over.  Not knowing how to turn off the bubbler on the juice machine before filling it up. (Yes Juice did get everywhere)  Knowing that I was probably the reason their was a bug floating up and down in the juice machine.  I am now going to put 3 things I am looking forward to because it doesn't do well to dwell on the past.  Getting to spend time with my kids!
