Today was a good day, I drove a friend to the airport so they can go tour a grad school but I am a little bit sad to not have them for a week but all will be well. I did a lot of little tasks rather than anything big or largely productive.  Grateful for book recommendations and technological knowledge

55, 54, and 53

55 Sunday after my shift was a long day given really only the 4 hours of sleep I got but all is well. I got to talk to some friends and got a lot of work done. Then I attended a club budget meeting which was semi productive as Classics Club turned in its budget request. grateful for friends, treasurers and sleeping in pjs (and not ontop of a stethoscope) 54 Monday I had 2 interviews and before you ask they both went well but I also learned that someone I was sitting with at the budget meeting tested positive so I started wearing my mask full time again and monitoring symptoms but I am feeling good! grateful for forward progress and opportunities 53 Today was a long day between classes and additional things but I feel good. There was a lot of reviewing of concepts before exams and new content, which is a nice break from the near constant forward motion. Grateful for enlightening conversations, crafts and mason jars.

57 and 56

A two-fer! Here is a double dose of what my countdown to graduation has looked like! 57 was a busy day of running around putting the last minute details of shabbat dinner together but it came together beautifully! I also got to sleep in which was really nice because boy did I need it.  56 has been continuous for want of a better adjective! I woke up and headed to a symposium on the humanities to watch my advisor give a presentation, then I took my students downtown to Chowderfest. It was great to go down town with no objective! Then I got a delicious sandwich from Putnam market (10/10  would recommend the high rock) and walked back to campus. We tried to record a podcast for our capstone but that backfired since the technology crapped out 😭!  this was followed by a SCEMS training on bioterrorism and emergency medicine. Next was a lovely menchies date with the ever incredible Ashley Smolenksy(a quick little shout out in case she reads this). Now I sit writing this w...

Yesterday was day 58, so you could say that this one is a little late 😂 Oh well, yesterday was a whirlwind kind of day, I accidentally slept in around 2 hours and then woke up quite disoriented. Next were my three classes back to back which were solid courses but no one was really fully there. Then I had a crash course meeting on what I was now responsible for for shabbat dinner this week, since the behind the scenes help is out this week. Wrapped up the day with a capstone meeting and a quick shopping run to support challahmore, a club that bakes challah to fight local food insecurity (lmk if you want information on how to donate) and Hillel's interfaith dinner! Happy friday, here's to a day of less chaos!

Today has been a whirlwind of a day. Lots of little things compiled and added up to leave me so mentally and physically tired that my cup of tea and book are way more appealing than writing a silly little update. Anywho, today I had my first campus interview and it went well, they were really impressed with all the questions I had for them which felt really good! Also I was nominated for a service prize at Skidmore which was really cool since I wasn't anticipating it.  Grateful for surprise emails and the patience to let go off frustrations that I and others carry.

Wow 2 months to go! Today I got to see a lot of the benefits of my actions from the previous day in regards to compliments, future planning, two scheduled interviews and a job offer?!?! My Tuesdays tend to be hellishly long and today was no exception but there was a general positivity that persisted in ways I didn't quite expect.  Grateful for homework parties and friends across class years.  Excited to see advertising pay off and hopeful that RSVPS turn into attendees

Today was a busy but a good day! After my class, I headed to Queensbury for my internship with girl scouts and was kind of given free rein over a topic, which was so cool! Then when I sent my end of day email, I mentioned that I was going to be out next week for a couple of reasons and the responses were so happy and excited overall! Then I came back for Classics Club where we had our first ever stab caesar cupcake party and we had the highest turn out that we have had in a while. It reminded me of the olden days where club events were fun and people just felt comfortable sitting with each other and chatting.  Grateful for the space to bring folks together and for negative PCR tests

Today was one of those funky days that you have at the end of a break, where part of you really wants more time and the other half really wants a routine back. The rest of the apartment returned home, but were busy unpacking, I pretended to do some work and instead meal prepped for the week. Then we went over to a friend's apartment to have some takeout! Grateful for more normal social interactions and the power of the internet! Happy Monday,  me

The last Saturday of break dun dun duhhh! I am not going to lie it started as a pretty mediocre day, since a lot of it was spent doing homework (booo) but helpful since the next couple of weeks are going to be chaotic with "adulting" tasks.  Some highlights include, crossing things off of my to do list, dinner with Jonathan and a long text exchange with my pal turtle.  Some lowlights predominately feature the thunderstorm that sat atop campus for seemingly forever and have a stand out character of me having to rerecord a capstone video because my phone rang in the middle of it.   Finally, I know it is a silly gratitude but I appreciate the free wifi and that to do laundry I have to go only a few yards away.  with warm wishes and appreciation,  me

Yesterday was day 64 and it was chill. I took out the compost and then watched a squirrel eat the apple I had just finished and I made a great one pot lemon garlic pasta. Grateful for impromptu couch conversations and the internet

65 days

Today has been a wild today and a new series of posts. Today is 65 days until graduation and thus begin around 65 posts, a summary of my last stretch my undergraduate experience.  The hope is that these will be short but as a way to mark the passing of time.  I ordered my cap and gown for graduation which felt like a gut punch and was very odd. Last time I did this was my class of 100 sitting in the auditorium, being lectured by the company that sells them. Then after coming back from a walk and a shower, I checked my email to find out I am moving on to the interview phase of the two jobs that I had applied for! It was a nice rush of excitement and turned my day around. Cheers to what comes next!
