I lost the game! and other fun traditions

One day last week, or maybe it was the week before, was national wear your camp t-shirt day-of which no one (at school) that I know participated. However there is no need to fret because yours truly-super counselor extraordinaire remembered and wore her staff shirt from last summer. This combined with the Hillel retreat where we sang a lot of the end of session songs and an email encouraging us to apply for summer 2020, reminded me of all the little traditions from camp that I wish took place more in my daily life. For my camp friends reading this I hope it doesn't make you too nostalgic, and for everyone else maybe this a way to bring a little bit of fun to the office or maybe the holidays. The pineapple game When you are out with a group of people the first one to point to the pineapple and say I win. Wins. Yep- that's the whole game. I do highly recommend it for group shopping trips as it brings a sense of adventure to what can be a drab day at the mall. Invisible ...

Commitments

As I started making my schedule for next semester and considering the different leadership choices I could take, I reflected on the word "commitment. "  Everyday we make commitments both small ones and larger ones but how much of our time goes towards these everyday. So one thing I did for your enjoyment is embed a sheet I made of theoretically all of my academic and social commitments. This is what my base schedule looks like every week before I add in fitness, homework, meetings and anything else that un-surprisingly comes up during the week. Although somedays look chaotic and I know that they are, I prefer the chaos to the unstructured aimless ramblings of some of my peers. Yet there is also the time that we don't realize that we are giving away and its one that we forget about regularly-the small computers and devices in our pockets, on our wrists, and in our ears.
